Humanify Healthcare's Medication Technician training program meets federal and state training requirements of a Certified Medication Technician in the state of Maryland.
This CMT course is intended for individuals who want to administer medication in assisted living facilities under the delegation of registered nurses (RNs). Learn more about what this class or program entails below.
This is a 20-hour MBON-approved program designed for any person looking to launch their career in healthcare and for experienced healthcare professionals looking for different paths in healthcare. This is a beginner-friendly course and provides all the skills and information you need to excel in this field through lectures, role-playing, group activity, and laboratory practice using The Maryland Board of Nursing Student Manual for Medication Technician Training for Assisted Living.

Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Unexpired ID
- You must pass a basic Math and Reading/English test as required by MBON. This test will be administered on the first day of class. Please contact us if you have any questions about this.
- The 20-hour class has to be completed to acquire the certification.
- The 20-hour class happens over 4 -times each day may vary. You will forfeit the certificate and the total cost paid if you miss a day or come late.

This course is designed for persons who will administer medication in the home or in assisted living facilities under the delegation of an RN. Students enrolled in the course will learn the following:
- Role of the Med Tech, CMT, or medication technician
- Safe medication administration
- Medication uses, responses, interactions, and documentation
- Observing, reporting, and recording physical and behavioral changes as they relate to medication administration
- Medication routes of administration
- Medication storage
The CMT class is held in person. The center is located at 8409 Merryview Dr, WindsorMill, MD, 21244.
Casual, but professional attire is expected throughout the program, so please dress accordingly. Timely attendance for all days of the program is required. Missing a day or arriving late to class will make you ineligible to complete the program.
